Our Story

Dagkryper means day creeper in Norwegian. It's the right word for how I move through nature, present, watching, not inserting myself where I don't belong.

I didn't grow up with nature. No field guides, no hiking trips. Just summers on Nantucket, winters on beaches collecting shells, and an early memory of fishing from a soup can full of worms. That was enough to plant something.

I started painting animals as a case study in learning to pay attention. One animal at a time, slowly, trying to understand what I was looking at before I put brush to paper. It turns out that's harder than it sounds.

We've built a world that makes it easy to forget we're part of nature, not separate from it. Not above it. These paintings are a reminder. To me first, and maybe to whoever's looking.

A portion of every sale goes to local conservation and animal welfare efforts.

It's okay to creep.
